In this project the client desire is to transform the 28 sqm space he has in the lower part of his traditional house in the Azores Island of Graciosa, into a small studio for visitors.
The projects main challenges were to fit in this small space a living area, a sleeping area and a bathroom and above all that give the possibility of creating a small kitchen area. And another challenge was the small quantity of natural light that the space has, with no possibility of changing this aspect.

For the interior design, since it is a traditional house from an island, it needed to be clean and fresh as the air around it while also have a tight relationship with nature. The solution was to go with a minimalistic/scandinavian influence to let the space breath while using a lot of wood elements and worm colors to make the place welcoming.
